Kenneth W. Pitman, MD

Kenneth W. Pitman, MD has called Reno home for over 40 years. Attending the University of Nevada Reno for both his undergraduate pre-med work and his medical schooling, he loves that he gets to practices medicine in his hometown.

Dr. Pitman knew he wanted to become a doctor as early as high school—and he wasn’t afraid to follow his dream. After graduating from medical school, he completed two years of residency in Las Vegas, Nevada, for general surgery, and then three years of residency in New Orleans, Louisiana, for anesthesiology. It was his work with anesthesia, and the clear need he saw for effective pain management, that ultimately led Dr. Pitman down his career path and to board certification in pain management.

A member of Nevada Pain and Spine Specialists since 2006, Dr. Pitman chose the practice because its group of specialists are all well trained and share the same philosophy of exceptional patient care.

Dr. Pitman’s personal approach to medicine is guided by what is best for each patient. He asks questions, gathers information, and offers the best treatment indicated. He employs the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic injections to help people manage their chronic pain.

In his free time, Dr. Pitman enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, traveling, and exploring Reno’s natural landscape.
